• ShopShops, an award winning global livestreaming shopping app.

  • ShopShops requested spec work that involved conceptualizing and branding an event. This included creating digital assets like Instagram templates, logos, and in-app promotional graphics. Additionally, I was asked to design a mockup for a new feature in their mobile app.

  • ShopShops’s concept at the time was “shop global like a local”. Their users discovered authentic new and pre-loved designer goods through their app, which featured hosts from around the world. When using the app and scrolling through their social accounts, I discovered that shoppers had favorite hosts. Frequent shoppers recognized each other’s usernames, and a sense of community formed around shoppers and hosts who were interested in similar products.

With this in mind, I conceptualized an event/campaign with a “world tour” and “travel” theme where shoppers gained opportunities to win a giveaway, and select hosts from different countries were featured, which would boost their engagement and sales.

I also created a promotional video for the app as a supplemental piece, targeting potential new users instead of just pre-existing ones.

I knew I wanted to do a “world tour” concept the moment I saw their slogan was “shop global like a local”.

The use of circles connected by a line in their Instagram posts felt reminiscent of stops on a train map. “Transit” was a clever way of aligning the “world tour” concept with their brand, so I moved forward with imagery relating to “flight”.

The aesthetic of a boarding pass is eye-catching and sleek. ShopShops’s visual identity plays nicely into the monochrome look and feel.

I designed social media posts advertising the event and created a host spotlight template with the intention of being easily editable and reusable even after the event ends.

The app has a carousel where they advertise upcoming events and deals. I designed a horizontal event banner, which will take the user to a screen where they can learn more about the event.

I was asked to design a new screen for their app. After using the app, I thought it was odd for a shopping app to not have a “collections” or “wishlist” feature.

You could save items, and there was also a “for you” section in the Profile screen, but there was no way to organize these items in the app.
